What led me to this work

I am drawn to service, especially in moments of uncertainty, vulnerability, or fear. As an end-of-life doula, I don’t see myself as a fixer, but as a witness and companion - holding space without judgment and offering presence over solutions.

My path began with a deeply personal experience: as a child, I accompanied my mother through the final year of her life after her cancer diagnosis. Offering comfort through silence, presence, and back rubs taught me the importance of compassion and connection at the end of life. During that time, my mom’s best friend told me she hoped I’d be there when her own time came. Her words stayed with me, affirming the path I’ve chosen - to walk alongside others and their loved ones at the end of life with presence, dignity, and love.

I believe death is a sacred, natural part of life. Everyone deserves to die with dignity, comfort, and the assurance that their life had meaning. I honor all spiritual, cultural, and personal expressions of death and grief.

I’m committed to nonjudgmental support, confidentiality, and empowering individuals to make choices aligned with their values. With compassion, humility and a willingness to learn, I aim to be a calm, steady presence - through listening, guiding rituals, coordinating care, or simply sitting in silence.

I feel privileged to guide families and individuals through these intimate and meaningful moments, empowering them to make choices that reflect their unique journeys. If you feel I might be the right support for you or your loved one, I welcome you to reach out.
